The Senior Vice President of a large IT department was experiencing significant issues with respect to how his team of senior leaders was functioning.  A recent reorganization, multiple large scale IT solution projects in process at the same time, and a number of new team members was resulting in low morale and dysfunction. 

The SVP turned to Cindy Larkin to help him get his direct reports back on track and create a team that would be recognized for its high performance. 

The Solution:

Ms. Larkin designed and administrated a survey for the team that helped her identify root causes to the team’s dysfunction.  Ms. Larkin followed up the survey with one to one interviews in order to validate her findings and provide more clarity where necessary.   

Ms. Larkin designed and facilitated a 2 day off site team meeting that included opportunities for the team to:

  • Provide developmental and motivational feedback to team members in a safe environment.
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of each team member.
  • Develop strategic level team goals.
  • Analyze the department’s current organizational structure to determine potential necessary realignments.
